Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has extended the date for the Party Primaries to Thursday, 3rd June, 2021, following agitations by political parties demanding for extension of date for the conduct of their respective primaries for the councils'poll
The electoral agency had earlier fixed Thursday, 27th May, 2021, as the deadline for the conduct of the primaries
The Commission's Chairman, Mr.Babatunde Osibodu who announced this in a statement ,said that another stakeholders’ meeting towards the 2021 Local Government Elections, would hold on Friday, 28th May, 2021 at the Commission’s Headquarters, Oke-ilewo, Abeokuta, at 10:00 am prompt.
Political Parties and other invited stakeholders are expected to send only two representatives each, in compliance with Covid-19 guidelines.
