FUNAAB VC Sues for Love,Peace..As Xtians celebrate Easter.



The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof.Kolawole Salako has called on members of the Unversity Community,Christians in particular and Nigerians in general to live in harmony by embracing love and peace in the true spirit of Easter celebration, this Sunday and Monday.

Prof. Salako in his Goodwill Message congratulates Christians in the University and the world at large for a successful completion of the lent season,felicitating with them on the celebration of Easter.

The Vice Chancellor charged staff and students of the University and citizenry at large to shun rancour and acrimony while reiterating that the development and progress of FUNAAB and Nigeria in general is tied to love and unity among individuals therein,irrespective of political and religious affiliation.

He emphasized that the whole essence of Easter celebration is Christ selfless love and sacrifice to humanity through his death on the cross and resurrection thereafter, urging christians and Nigerians at large to imbibe the Easter spirit of love and sacrifice for the general good of the University and the society as a whole.

Prof.Salako commended members of the University Community for religious harmony and peaceful co-existence assuring that as their Vice-Chancellor he will continue to promote the spirit of oneness  through unwavering commitment to fairness,equity,justice and transparency which are the cardinal objectives and mainstay of his Administration 12-Point Agenda.

He urged members of the University Community and citizenry in general to compliment government's efforts at combating the spread of Covid-19 by strictly adhering to medical protocols of avoiding high density gathering especially while attending  Easter Picnic at religious and event centres, maintaining social distance and wearing of face masks.

The Vice-Chancellor reiterated his Administration commitment to making the University safe for members of the Academic Community and guests by sustaining consistent fumigation of the nooks and crannies of the campus,provision of hand sanitizers,water and soaps and enforcing use of face masks.
