Head Coach of Remo Stars FC of Ikenne-Remo, Daniel Ogunmodede has expressed satisfaction with the performance of his team in the ongoing second tier Nigeria National League(NNL)
Remo Stars are topping Group B2 table with 18points, ahead of Ibom Youths who are in the second position with 15points
The team's mid-week lone-goal home victory against hard-fighting Julius Atete FC, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo,Ogun State, secured the top spot after nine round of matches in NNL
“I am very comfortable with our current position on the table, I think we are topping the table with 4 points. The boys fought really hard, and we have no choice than to battle the challenges as they come.,”Ogunmodede expressed with satisfaction
“J. Atete FC gave us a good fight, they have good, young and experience side, they have been in the league for a very long time, and they really prevented us from scoring in the first half of the game.”
According to him,“The game started sluggishly, although it was our plan. We wanted to see what they came with. They know our game plan already because they know our style of play and all we wanted to do was to exploit their defense but in all, we are happy we got the maximum points.”
Remo Stars in a statement by its Media Manager,Oladimeji Oshode will confront another Delta State based side, Apex Krane who are currently in the ninth position with nine points in an away match
