Ogun Begins Provision Of 100 Housing Units In Yewa South,To Attract Investors




Ogun State Government has begun the provision of its proposed100 affordable housing units in Ilaro, to create a conducive business environment and attract investors to Yewa South Local Government Area of the state
 
The State Government turned the sod of 50 units of the proposed 100 units comprising of 2bedroom expandable  houses in Ilaro, in response to the yearning of the people in  Ogun West Senatorial District

The State Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi stated this while speaking during the ceremony performed by the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewa land,  Oba Kehinde Olugbenle 

Omoniyi assured that the Estates upon completion would be furnished with world class infrastructural facilities that would attract investors to the area as well as creat serene environment for the people.

" We're going to create a smart city where people can conviniently live, work and relax" he affirmed".

The Commissioner assured that the first phase of the project situated along General Hospital road, would be delivered by May,2021.  

Governor Dapo Abiodun according to him, had earlier promised during the inspection tour to  Housing Estates at Kobape and Sagamu, that the gesture would be replicated in Ilaro and Otta.

Omoniy urged the people to embrace the project, by giving necessary cooperation and needed support to contractors handling the construction, saying this will encourage government to do more.

In his response, ,Oba Kehinde Olugbenle appreciated the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government for bringing the housing projects to Yewa land as the estates upon completion would bridge the housing deficit been suffered by the people of the area.

The mornach pledged his support for the projects as he called on the people of Yewa, home and in diaspora to sieze the opportunity provided by the project to become home owners, as allocation would be on first come, first served basis.

In their seperate remarks,the Commissioner for Tourism, Dr. Toyin Taiwo and his colleague in Budget and planning, Mr. Olaolu Olabintan appreciated the Governor  for his love for the people of Yewa area as demonstrated by the zeal to  bring development to the area and the State at large.

Also speaking, a member Ogun State Elders Advisory Committee, Hon. Mufutau Ajibola, appealed to stakeholders to work for the success of the project and shun acts that could be derogatory  to successful completion of the project, as he prayed for more development in the area during Dapo Abiodun tenure.

Contributing, a  former Commissioner for Education in the State, Chief Mrs. Iyabode Apampa thanked the governor for the project, enjoining leaders in the area to encourage their people to patronize the Estates.

Prayers were offered for the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the State in general by the Chief Imam of Yewa land Alhaji Tajudeen Adewunmi and Archbishop of Yewa land, Bishop Micheal Oluwaronbi.
