Governor Dapo Abiodun has assured residents of adequate security of lives and property in Ogun State ,following the rescued of the two abducted Students' of the Olabisi Onabanjo University OOU Ago-Iwoye,Precious Adeyemo and Abiola Oyefule
The female two students abducted by gunmen at Ayetoro campus of the university on Sunday night,were later handed over to their parents on Wednesday by government at the State Secretariat in Oke-mosan Abeokuta
Abiodun gave the assurance while addressing scores of students of the University who visited the Governor’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta to register their appreciation to the State Government for the prompt rescue of two female students of the Ayetoro campus of the institution

restated his administration's commitment to providing adequate security for the people of the State, regardless of their tribe, class or religion.
The present administration according to him, places high premium on security of lives and property and would continue to do everything possible to ensure that the mission is not compromised.
He appreciated all security operatives for their efforts at ensuring that the kidnapped students were rescued.
"I want to let you know that the Governor was leading the rescue team from the front, he was actually monitoring every step from a control room detailing the security operatives, and speaking with the parents of the kidnapped ladies to ensure their release’’, Abiodun said.
He noted that his administration had done a lot in the area of security, part of which were establishment of Security Trust Fund, procurement of 100 Patrol vehicles, 200 motorcycles for security personnel, establishment of Joint Security Initiative Squad (JSIS) in the Farmers/Herders’ crisis areas and formation of the Western Security Network ‘AMOTEKUN’, among others.
Earlier in their separate remarks, the President of National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), Comrade Oluwasegun Alao and the Chairman of National Association of Nigeria Students, (NANS), Ogun State chapter, Comrade Kehinde Damilola lauded the Governor for providing a responsive leadership in the State.
Comrade Alao appealed to government to fortify schools, particularly those in the remote areas with block fence that would make it difficult for Criminals to have access to schools.
