Enyimba International on Saturday extended their lead with six clear points on the table of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), after defeating defending Champions, Plateau United of Jos two/one.
Tosin Omoyele 's brace in the 27th and 30th minutes sealed the victory for the home side in the keenly contested match day-nine played in Aba.
The visiting Plateau United however reduced the tally with Mfon Effiong 's strike in the 76th minute
The Fatai Osho tutored side ensured that they consolidated on their top position with the win, which extended its lead to 21points ahead of the second placed Rivers United who will be seeking a home-win against visiting Nasarawa United of Lafia in Port-harcourt on Monday, to increase its 15points on the table.
Matches in the Nigeria's top flight league continue on Sunday and Monday for the day-nine of the season.
