Enyimba, Rivers Return To NPFL Race After CAF Confederation Cup Clash



Two giants in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Enyimba International of Aba and Rivers United of Port-harcourt  returned to the race for the domestic league title  this Wednesday,after both sides confronted themselves for a place in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Nigeria's only Campaigners in the African clubs competitions, Enyimba who are currently on the second position with 21points and outstanding two matches, will be seeking a return to the summit of the top-flight league, when they take on visiting Akwa United of Uyo in Aba  in a week 12 encounter.

Also the 5th placed Rivers United of Port-harcourt with 18points and outstanding two matches, will be targeting a win on the road against homeside, Warri Wolves who are struggling at the 19th position with just nine points and will be trying to escape relegation.

Defending Champions, Plateau United who are languashing at the 18th position with 11points will be hosting Jigawa Golden Stars of Dutse, third placed Kano Pillars take on Sunshine Stars of Akure while Nasarawa United battle the 17th placed FC Ifeanyi Ubah in Lafia

League Leaders, Kwara United of Ilorin with21points, will be entertaining Rejuvenated Abia Warriors who on the 16th position with 12points, fourth placed Enugu Rangers with 20 points,will be visiting Wikki Tourists of Bauchi while Adamawa United of Yola currently at the bottom with just three points, will seeking a win against visitors, Lobi Stars of Makurdi.

The other remaining two matches involving Heartland of Owerri and Dakkada of Uyo as well as Katsina United and MFM of Lagos will be played on Thursday.
