CAF Confederation: Rivers Utd, Enyimba In Final Battle, As NPFL Enters Wk 11

Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port-harcourt, the Rivers State capital is the battle ground for this Sunday's final showdown between the two giants in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Rivers United and Enyimba International of Aba who are both competing for a place in the money spining group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup

The Pride of Rivers playing at home will face uphill task of overcoming the one goal deficit from the two times African Champions, Enyimba who won the first leg last week courtesy of Olisema's lone strike in the match played in Aba.

The Peoples Elephants under the tutelage of Coach Fatai Osho will be going all out to consolidate on their first leg advantage and relaunch themselves back to reckoning after being sent out of the lucrative CAF Champions League by the Sudanese, Al-Merrikh.

But the Stanley Eguma tutored side who have been enjoying good run in the second tier CAF Confederation Cup will want to maintain their impressive performance at home in the competition, by going ahead to cancel the deficit and qualify for the group stage.

Meanwhile week 11 matches will hold across the country in the domestic Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)

League Leaders, Kwara United of Ilorin will  face tough challenge from their host, Enugu Rangers who enjoy good run at home.

Other matches include Lobi Stars and Kano Pillars in Makurdi, Sunshine Stars and Heartland of Owerri in Akure, Abia Warriors and Warri Wolves in Aba, FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Katsina United in Nnewi, Jigawa Golden Stars and Nasarawa United in Dutse while MFM entertain in Lagos, bottom placed Adamawa United whose bus driver was abducted during the weekend robbery attacked on the team on its trip to Lagos
