WAFU-B U-17: Eaglets Walk On Tight Rope




Nigeria's Golden Eaglets are now walking on a tight rope to secure a semi-final's ticket, after being forced to one-all draw by  arched rivals, the Black Starlets of Ghana in the ongoing WAFU-B Under-17 competition in Lome, Togo.

Substitute Joseph Arumala gave the Nigerian cadet side, the lead from the penaly spot in the 83rd minute  but Eaglets went  to sleep, allowing the Ghanaian to stage a come back with an  equalizer from another penalty spot  by Captain Abdul Fatawu .

The Coach Fatai Amao tutored side now have a point from two matches, having lost its first match to Coted-'Ivoire by a lone-goal, last Wednesday.

To qualify for semi-final, Nigeria will now depend on the Ivorians to do it a big favour , by beating Ghana two/zero in the group match.

Both  Ghana and Coted-'Ivoire just need a draw to book their places in the semi-finals of the competion which serves as qualifier for the Africa Under 17 tournament .

Edu-Biznews recalled that Nigeria's Flying Eagles crashed out in similar circumstances,in the last Wafu B Under-21 competition in Benin Republic.
