Ogun Govt Approves 2020 TETFUND Counterpart Fund

Ogun State government has approved the payment of year 2020 Tertiary Education Trust Fund counterpart allocation, to tertiary institutions in the State, to facilitate execution of capital projects, to improve the standard  infrastructure on various campuses of the state owned Institutions. 

Governor Dapo Abiodun who gave his approval for the release of the counter part fund ,also approved the resuscitation and relocation of Ogun State Braille Book Production Centre and the provision of lunch and complementary meals, for pupils in the State Special Schools for 2020/2021 academic session,  to ensure smooth running of academic calendar, for better performance.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu who announced the various approvals  to newsmen in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, said the approval would aid teaching and learning activities in schools.

 Arigbabu added  that the present administration had demonstrated   beyond reasonable doubt, its committment to quality education at all levels.

He said that the importance of education would never be undermined by the Abiodun administration, hence, its giant strides in the sector which cuts across primary, secondary and tertiary levels.

"Education has experienced tremendous improvements and will continue to do so during the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun. He has given us the mandate to restore education in the State to its former glory", the Commissioner said.

He also disclosed that the Governor has also given approvals for the monthly subvension to State owned tertiary institutions and the payment of bursary, to all indigene students across the country, which would take effect as soon as possible.
