NPFL Day-Four: Wikki Tourists End Rivers United's Unbeaten Run

Wikki Tourists Football Club on Wednesday ended the Rivers United's Unbeaten Run in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after a lone-goal home win against the league leaders in Bauchi.

Udeagha's goal in the 30th minute of the mid-week encounter, condemned the Port-harcourt based side to their first defeat in four matches. 

Despite the loss,the CAF Confederation Cup Campaigners still top the league table with nine points and a superior goals difference of plus four ahead of Enugu Rangers who recorded a slim two/one win against FC Ifeanyi Ubah in oriental derby in Enugu, to move to the second spot with nine points and plus two goals difference.
 
Kano Pillars are now third on the table with eight points and plus three goals difference, after a lone-goal victory against visiting Plateau United of Jos.

Nasarawa United of Lafia dropped from second to fourth position with the same points, after settling for away  goaless draw with 19th placed Adamawa United.

At the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, Heartland recorded their first win in the league, beating Enyimba International of Aba by two/nil with goals from Oghali and Adachi in the 33rd and 53rd minutes respectively.

But the woes  of Abia Worriors worsened, as they languished at the bottom of the table with zero point, after  suffering their fourth straight defeat three/one to visiting Jigawa Golden Stars of Dutse in Aba.

Warri Wolves were ruthless, thrashing visiting Katsina United three/nil with goals from Daniel, Ebatomara and Wisdom in the 58th, 74th and 81st minutes respectively while Sunshine Stars in Akure settled for a two-all draw with Lobi Stars of Makurdi.

Also Kwara United and visiting Akwa United of Uyo ended their tie in a one-all draw in Ilorin, Dakkada and MFM of Lagos recorded the same margin in Uyo.
