Deliver All Ogun Housing Projects On May 29-Abiodun Charges MDAs



Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has charged Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) in the State's housing sector to deliver  all the ongoing housing projects before May 29, as part of activities to mark second anniversary of his administration 

Abiodun represented by the Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Jamiu Omoniyi, gave the charge while declaring open a two-day induction and management retreat, organised by the Odua Learning and Development Centre  for the new executive board of Ogun State Housing Corporation in Abeokuta, the state capital.

The Governor asked all the MDAs handling various housing projects  at Kobape, Sagamu, Ota, and Ijebu Ode, to double their efforts, to ensure the completion of the projects  expected to be commissioned on May 29.

 Chairman of the State Housing Corporation Board, Chief Yemi Sanusi had earlier during his welcome address, described the retreat, with the theme "Providing leadership for a new horizon”, as a tool that would help sharpen their knowledge to achieve quality housing delivery.

Also speaking, the General Manager of the Corporation, ESV. Wale Ojo, urged the participants to work on strategies that would help deliver the Corporation’s dream on housing delivery.

He enjoined them  to take cognisance of the training, to help actualize the Corporation's  set goals.

Similarly  the Group Head, Human Resource, Odua Investment Company, Dr. Morakinyo Oloyode who was the resource person, reminded the participants of their collective responsibilities to take the Corporation to an enviable height.

Oloyede added that the training would help participants to contribute immensely to the overall development of the State.

Speaking on behalf of participants, a Board member, Prince Adeniyi Edun said the training would help create a cordial relationship between the Board and management, as well as improve their performances, towards achieving the provision of affordable housing to the people.
