Rescheduled NPFL Match: Rivers United Defeat Enugu Rangers

Nigeria's CAF Confederation Cup Campaigners, Rivers United Football Club continued with their good run in the 2020/2021 season, after a lone-goal victory over visiting Enugu Rangers in the last rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) day-one match on Wednesday.

Rivers United grabbed the maximum three points with Fortune's 29th minute goal in the keenly contested match  played at home in Port-harcourt.

The Coach Stanley Eguma tutored side held on its first half goal against the high flying Enugu Rangers, to ensure a back to back victories within a week, having won their first leg of the second tie last week in the CAF Confederation Cup, two/nil  away in South Africa, against Blofortein. 

With the result, the pride of Rivers have joined other teams, to contend for the domestic title in the country's top flight league, this season.
