Ogun State House of Assembly says its missing Mace which is the official symbol of the house, will not disrupt the plenary session of the legislators
Some suspected Hoodlums had on early hours of Thursday burgled the Speaker's office at the assembly complex, oke-mosan in Abeokuta and carted away the Mace.
Speaker of the house, Right Honourable Olakunle Oluomo confirming the incident, gave the assurance, saying " the coat of arms was found but the stick still missing."
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi said that an investigation into the burglary and theft had commenced.
Oyeyemi added that the State Commissioner of Police ,Edward Ajogun had earlier visited the assembly complex for an on-the-spot assessment and promised that the perpetrators would be brought to book.
