Gov.Abiodun Reads Riot-Act To Appointees



Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has read a Riot-act to the newly sworn- in Chairmen, members of Boards and Parastatals in the State that his administration would not tolerate any act capable of threatening the vision of the government in the state.

Abiodun asked them to live above board and be agents of positive change, as his administration would not tolerate any act that is not in tandem with its overall vision.

The governor  who issued the Riot-act during the swearing ceremony at the June 12 Cultural Center, Kuto Abeokuta on Tuesday, urged the newly appointees to be selfless to achieve the collective dreams of the present administration.

"You must live above board, be agent of positive change and contribute significant values to your respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies. Let me say that we will not tolerate any act that is not in tandem with the overall vision of this administration. We must make selfless service key to translating our collective dreams to reality", Abiodun warned .
    
The governor asked the appointees to add significant values to their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

 The present government according to him," is working on a collaborative approach that would ensure every part works together"     
        
  "It is also important to state that our administration is not building silos, rather, working on a collaborative approach that will ensure every part of government work harmoniously together", he said.

  Abiodun revealed that performance matrix would be put in place to help the State government measure the performance of each agency, saying people of the State would not be taken for granted.

 "We will never take you for granted, I also expect you to continue to give us the full support as we move forward to a new year of increasing personal fulfillment and continued development of our dear State", he stated.

 Responding on behalf of the appointees, the Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Femi Majekodunmi promised that they would work to achieve a State that would become an envy of all, commending the State Governor for being proactive during the COVID-19 period and the recent ENDSARS protest.
