The immediate past Nigeria's First Female Accountant General, Dr(Mrs) Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein has celebrated the grand-finale of the 45th anniversary reunion activities with her fellow classmates of 1976-81 set of the prestigious Christ Apostolic Grammar School in Iperu-Remo, Ogun State, calling for more support to compliment efforts of government at enhancing physical infrastructure, so as to improve teaching and learning environment in the school
Madein, a president of the 81 Set of the Christ Apostolic Grammar School OldStudents' Association; (CAGSOSA) made the call during the set colourful celebration held over the weekend at the school premises where a block of renovated six classrooms and construction of additional toilet facilities initiated and completed by the set were commissioned by the State Commissioner for Education Science and Technolog, Prof.Abayomi Arigbabu
While appreciating the efforts of the planning committee members and contributions of sponsors to the success of the reunion activities, she stressed the need for members of the 81set of CAGSOSA, to use the celebration of the 45th anniversary reunion to give back through mentorship, scholarships, encouragement and improved facilities with the aim of upholding the noble values of the school
"Dear friends, this reunion must do more than remind us of yesterday; it must awaken in us a stronger commitment to tomorrow. As old students, we owe a duty to our alma mater and to the generations coming after us. We can give back through mentorship, scholarships, encouragement, improved facilities, and by upholding the noble values that Christ Apostolic Grammar School planted in us.",
"Let this 45-year reunion strengthen our unity and renew our sense of purpose. No meaningful legacy is built by one person alone. It is built when people of shared history choose to work together, support one another, and lift up the institution that helped to shape them", she charged
Dr. Madein appreciated teachers whom she described as mentors who invested their time and energy in ensuring members of the class got more than academic knowledge while acknowledging the absence of those who are no longer members of the set
"On this day, we remember with deep gratitude our teachers, mentors, and all who invested in us. They gave us more than academic knowledge; they taught us values, courage, respect, humility, and perseverance. Their words, corrections, prayers, and sacrifices continue to echo in our lives, and we honour them with sincere appreciation"
"We also pause to remember our colleagues who are no longer with us. Their absence is deeply felt, but their memories remain precious. May their souls continue to rest in perfect
peace, and may their families be strengthened by the love of this alumni family", she prayed

The Brief History of the school is stated below as presented by Dr.Akintola, a member of the set
Christ Apostolic Grammar School (CAGS), popularly known as Apollo Gramms, is a prominent secondary educational institution located in Iperu-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Founded in January 26, 1960, under the guidance of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). The Church's mission was to provide high quality secondary education based on Christian ideals, academic achievements, strict discipline, and a sound moral development of
students. Christ Apostolic Grammar School was established originally by three (3) members of the Christ Apostolic Church, namely Mr. S. B. Okuyemi, Elder J. A. Ajidagba and Pastor M. O. K. Alli. Mr. Odusona was not among the Founders of the School, according to the record
He was given a house named after him because he was the most Senior Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church in Remo land at that time.
The creation of the school in Iperu was made possible by divine guidance, the collaboration and generosity of Iperu people and its landowners.
During this early time, the proprietors' contributions and student fees were the only sources of funding for the institution. It began receiving government funding in 1968 after being approved grant-aided status.
The 1st Principal of the school was Mr. Adenowo, the 2nd Principal was Mr. Shokale, while the 3rd Principal was Rev. Sheyin. Other Past School Principals include Pastor Ogunranti from 1973 to 1974 and Chief Awofola from 1974 to 1976 and many others.
The first Senior Prefect of the School was Mr. Boye Sobodu, who left the school in 1966. Every Saturday night was SOCIAL NIGHT, where students were free to express themselves socially without immoral conducts. The School was competitive in sports. It had a Lawn Tennis Court, Handball Court, Table Tennis and the usual football competition among the four houses in the School. It is on record that the School won a football competition organized among Schools in Ijebu Province in 1967, just to mention the few among the rich history of the school
