The Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) says its renewed drive to strengthen accountability and ethical practices in Public Secondary Schools is aimed at protecting the integrity and future of the State’s education system.
Chairman of the Commission, Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu, disclosed this while speaking with Journalists in Abeokuta, saying that the delivery of standard secondary education required diligence and hard work from school administrators and teachers to ensure excellent performance by learners.
He noted that TESCOM’s whistle-blower among other initiatives, was designed to promote transparency, uphold professional ethics and encourage responsible conduct among principals, teachers and students.
“The Commission is committed to protecting our schools from misconduct in order to uphold the sanctity and dignity of the teaching profession,” he said.
The TESCOM boss commended the teaching workforce for their resilience and commitment during the 2025/2026 academic session, urging them to use the long vacation to reflect on ways to add value to the profession and sustain the present administration’s education agenda.
Apostle Sanyaolu, further assured stakeholders that the Commission would continue to support programmes and policies that would promote teachers' development, technological advancement and excellence in service delivery.
