Ogun State Government says the registration of Hotels and Allied Businesses is of utmost importance before the commencement of their operations in the State.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Sesan Fagbayi, stated this while playing host to a team from Bisdot Royal Suite who paid him a courtesy visit in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying that prompt registration would strengthen relationships and partnerships, promote integrity, create opportunities as well as give recommendations to registered hotels when such opportunities arises.
Fagbayi, called on intending hoteliers, bar owners and other related businesses to make sure they register with the Ministry before commencement of operations, explaining that failure to register before commencement would attract sanctions.
Also, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Quudus Yusuff, said it is illegal to commence operation before registering their business with the Ministry, calling on all other hoteliers and businesses due for an upgrade to do so as soon as possible.
Reacting, Manager and leader of the team Mr. Austine Jahjioje, said their visit was to pay homage, ensure proper introduction, showcasing their special crusine as well as to seek support from the Ministry, promising to commence its registration.
