The Organisation for Harmony and Peace (OHP), through its Directorate of Political Affairs, has expressed strong support for Alhaja (Dr) Lateefat Oyeyemi Sowunmi Kolapo, PhD, the Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy Governorship Candidate, calling on the good people of the State, community leaders, youth groups, women associations, civil society organisations, traditional institutions, and all stakeholders in the democratic process to support the aspiration, ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election
President-General of OHP, Ustaadh Tajudeen Jimoh Alao making the call in a statement by its Director of Media, Ambassador Olaleye Rasheed Damilare, described Dr Lateefat Oyeyemi Sowunmi Kolapo as a distinguished daughter of Ogun State whose remarkable record of service, leadership, scholarship, and community development has earned her widespread respect across various sectors of society.
"She is widely recognised as the Iya Sunnah of Egbaland and holds the historic distinction of being the first Ameerah General of Ogun State, a testament to her pioneering leadership and enduring commitment to social progress", the organization stated
Dr Kolapo according to OHP, has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the advancement of education, women’s empowerment, youth development, peacebuilding, and community service.
