Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), has played host to Body of Retired Principal-General in the State, as part of moves to strengthen effective collaboration with stakeholders in the education sub-sector
The Commission Chairman, Apostle 'Biodun Sanyaolu, while receiving members of the body led by its Chairman, Alhaji Biodun Olubajo, appreciated them for checking back on TESCOM.
Sanyaolu said their immense contributions to the agency were invaluable, assuring that the Commission would continue to draw from their wealth of experience to enhance service delivery.
He noted that the current leadership had introduced several reforms to build on the foundation laid by predecessors and advance the Commission’s policy objectives.
‘’Since assuming office over a year ago, we have established a whistleblower initiative, redistributed teachers, digitised TESCOM’s records and data and conducted a forensic analysis of teaching and non-teaching staff across public secondary schools, among others,” he said.
The TESCOM Chairman, disclosed that arrangements were underway to appoint substantive principals as Zonal Secretaries, with Principals-General to be drawn from the pool of Zonal Secretaries, adding that the Commission was working to provide befitting office accommodation for zonal operations
Earlier, Alhaji Olubajo, commended the Chairman and his management team for the ongoing transformation in the agency, saying the visit was to identify with the present administration and pledge the body’s support for its activities.
