Scribe of the Ogun State Council of Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT, Comrade Samson Oyelere has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to all Muslim faithfuls across the land.
Oyelere in a congratulatory message, reminded Muslims of the profound lessons of sacrifice, obedience, faith, and submission to the will of Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim
"May these virtues renew our hearts and strengthen our commitment to righteousness, compassion, and service to one another"
He urged Muslims to use the period not only for celebration, but also as a moment to pray and work for the unity of the communities, State and by extension country.
"Our strength lies in our togetherness, regardless of tribe, tongue, or creed. May the spirit of Eid inspire us to bridge our divides and stand as one people"
He also urged them to use the period to pray for abducted teachers and students of Oriire Local Governmen
"We must not forget our brothers and sisters in distress. I urge all to keep the abducted teachers and students of Oriire Local Government in your prayers, and to join in calling for their safe and swift return. No family should have to mark Sallah with an empty seat at home"
He charged government at all levels, to see the festive season as a reminder that leadership is about action, not just promises.
"The patience of the people has limits. Work the talk. Secure lives, protect schools, and restore hope so that our communities can live and celebrate in peace"
May Allah accept our sacrifices, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us more celebrations in the land of the living.
