Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has said that arrangements are underway to renovate all its zonal offices across the state.
Chairman of the Commission, Apostle ‘Biodun Sanyaolu, disclosed this while monitoring the ongoing verification exercise for teaching staff in public secondary schools across the four divisions of the state.
According to the TESCOM boss, the zonal office environment must be conducive to effective service delivery, noting that all offices would be upgraded to standard.
“Zonal offices represent TESCOM at the grassroots,. “The offices in these zones are supposed to be in good shape and well equipped to carry out their supervisory and administrative roles”, he said.
Apostle Sanyaolu reassured that the welfare of the teaching workforce at the secondary school level remains paramount to the government, and urged teachers to remain diligent and responsive in their duties.
He further revealed that the Commission would soon address the dichotomy in the appointment of Zonal Secretaries, as part of the ongoing reforms in TESCOM.
Designated schools for the exercise visited include, Pakoto High School, Ifo, Iganmode Grammar School, Ota, Iko Gateway Grammar School, Idiroko, Yewa College, Ilaro, African Church Grammar School, Ita- Eko and Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro.
