Muslim School Owners Move To Harmonize Curriculum To Produce Excellent Learners In Ogun

Owners of Muslim Schools in Ogun State have resolved to adopt a holistic curriculum that harmonizes Deen and Dunya, tailored to make students excel academically while remaining firmly rooted in Islamic values.

The decision is part of the seven-point communique issued by the State chapter of The League of Muslim School Proprietors (LEAMSP) Worldwide at its recently concluded Education Summit held at the Crescent Hall in Abeokuta, where stakeholders called for an urgent need to reposition Muslim schools as centers of excellence, innovation, and character development

The association in the communique by its Information and Publications Officer,

Ambassador Olaleye Rasheed Damilare, emphasized the importance of prioritizing the continuous professional training and certification of teachers to 

enhance quality delivery and global competitiveness of the schools 

The school owners expressed commitment to intensify efforts toward establishing unified standards and best practices across Muslim schools in Ogun State.

Schools in the communique, agreed to embrace modern technology and digital learning tools to prepare students for the demands of the 21st-century global environment.

They maintained that strong emphasis shall be placed on character building, discipline, leadership, and Islamic ethics as core components of education, while the association resolved to strengthen collaboration with government agencies, international bodies, and private sector partners to improve infrastructure and learning outcomes.

The association in the communique, equally agreed to continue to advocate for fair policies, inclusiveness, and support for Muslim schools within the broader education system.

LEAMSP at the end of the summit, called on all Muslim school proprietors, educators, parents, and stakeholders to rise to the challenge of redefining education by embracing excellence (Ihsan), upholding values, and building globally competent students.

The Summit was graced by distinguished personalities, including the State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Mukhtar Abayomi Adelaja Arigbabu; the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Alhaja Mariam Oloko  and the Registrar, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Dr. Ronke Soyombo; the Chairman of the occasion, 

Others included Alhaji Engr. AbdulHameed Omotayo Omoowo who chaired the event, the Secretary, Administration of Raabita, Dr. Rabiu Kusimo; the President, LEAMSP Worldwide, Alhaji Abdul Waheed Obalakun; the Guest Lecturer, Prof. Soliu Alao Amolegbe of FUNAAB; among other eminent stakeholders and educationists.
