Remo Stars Football Club of Ikenne-Remo have continued to record impressive results at home, since Usman Abdallah took over the technical crew of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, who are now battling to survive being relegated from the top flight league
The Skye-Blue Stars on Sunday whipped visiting Kwara United of Ilorin who are also struggling to survive relegation 3-1 in a week 31 match played at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo
The Coach Abdallah tutored side had won so far won three consecutive matches at home against Katsina United , Nasarawa United of Lafis and now Kwara United while the side suffered its heaviest defeat away to Rangers who won 4-1 in Enugu
With the win against the Afonja Warriors from Ilorin, Remo Stars are still within the relegation zone at the 18th position with 36 points, ahead of the visitors occupying 19th position with 33 points while Kun Khalifat are at the bottom of the table with the same point after forcing visiting third placed Ikorodu City of Lagos with 49 points to a two-all draw in another week 31 match played on Sunday
Management of Remo Stars had on February 26, announced the appointment of Usman Abdallah as the club’s new Technical Adviser, with immediate effect.
Abd’Allah arrived the camp of Skye Blue Stars with extensive technical and academic credentials, including an UEFA Pro Licence and advanced degrees in football coaching and team management from Le CREPS de Montpellier in France.
Enugu Rangers however returned to the summit of the elite division with 54 points after beating El-Kanemi Warriors from Maiduguri 2-0 displacing Rivers United of Port Harcourt to the second position with 52 points, still having an outstanding match to be played
