Rockcity FM and the Rockcity Centre for Media and Media and Leadership Development have announced the hosting of a major STEM Conference and Advocacy Programme scheduled to take place on Friday, 13 March 2026, at Taidob College, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The highlight of the conference will be the Keynote Address by the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who will speak on the theme: “Building a Future-Ready STEM Ecosystem in Ogun State.”
The event will also feature the official launch of the Rockcity Centre for Media and Leadership Development (RCMLD).

The Centre according to the statement is a new initiative dedicated to strengthening youth leadership, digital literacy, media education, and STEM advocacy across Ogun State and the Southwest region.
The conference will be chaired by His Royal Majesty, Oba Saka Matemilola, Olowu of Owu Kingdom, whose leadership continues to inspire community-based educational advancement.
The programme will host 200 participants, including 100 students and 40 staff from 20 Public and Private Secondary Schools and 50 resource persons and dignitaries.
The initiative focuses on encouraging girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), particularly in underserved communities.
Activities will include keynote sessions, expert lecture, mentorship engagements, and interactive dialogue.
The Guest Speaker for the event is Prof. Titilola Aderonke Samuel, Head, Department of Biochemistry, University of Lagos.
Among the confirmed dignitaries are include former Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello; Chief Tony Ojeshina, Former Ogun State Commissioner for Environment; Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology.
Others include Mrs Adijat Adeleye, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development; Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development; and Mr. Lanre Arogundade, Director, International Press Centre, Lagos.
