Governor Dapo Abiodun has called for continuous support of Muslim community in Ogun State, promising to continue to work for physical and economic growth of the State till end of his administration in May 29, 2027
Governor Abiodun who was represented by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat , made the call on Friday during the two rakat Eid prayer held at the Central Praying Ground in Lantoro, Abeokuta, the State capital for the celebration of this year's Eid-el-Fitr making end of the 30-day fasting in the month of Ramadan
He attributed the achievements recorded by his administration in the past seven years to the sustained prayers of the Muslim community, pledging not to take the support for granted
Chief Imam of Egbaland Alhaji, Sa'adallah Alade Bamgbola who led the thousands of Muslims at the Eid prayers , prayed Allah to continue to guide the Prince Dapo Abiodun's administration to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the State till end of his administration in 2027
The Egbaland Chief Imam urged Muslims to sustain the lessons of piety and selfless service to humanity learnt during the 30-day fasting in the sacred month of Ramadan, saying every Muslim will be rewarded with paradise by Allah for sustenance of such good deeds
The cleric prayed for good health, protection and abundant blessings of Allah for all Muslim homes, as they continue to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan by supporting the less privileged in the society
Similarly, the Baba Adini of Yorubaland Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Sharafadeen Tunji Ishola called on Muslims to imbibe the teachings of Ramadan, by upholding moral values and good characters expected of them to sustain peace in the state
Secretary -General of the Ogun State Muslim Council, Asiwaju Kamal'deen Akintunde Esq, the Wakilu Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states,Sheikh Iskeel Lawal (Sugar), Baba Adini of Egbaland, Chief Rasheed Raji , Permanent Secretary of Ogun State Ministry of Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Adesina, Chairman of Egba zone of OMC, Alhaji Abdul-Hakeem Tunji Kalejaiye amongst other dignatries attended the Eid prayers
