Ogun State Government will be hosting over 5,000 participants at the Royal Pavilion, Ijebu-Ode, for the commemoration of the 2026 International Women’s Day alongside the Ogun State @50 celebration, holding this Monday March 23, 2026, under the theme “Give To Gain.”

Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye who made this known in a statement on Sunday, says the event, scheduled to commence at 9:00am, is expected to mobilize participants across various sectors, highlighting the importance of investing in women through empowerment, education, and inclusive opportunities for sustainable development.
“The celebration will feature a keynote lecture by Her Excellency, Senator Abiodun Olujimi, who will speak on the theme: ‘Give To Gain,’ with emphasis on strategic investment in women as a driver of societal growth. A wide range of participants, including female groups, professionals, artisans, and representatives from both formal and informal sectors, have been invited to ensure broad-based participation and meaningful engagement,” Adeleye disclosed
She noted that the event would also include a moment of political solidarity to the Progressive fold, providing a platform for participants to reaffirm their commitment to unity, shared progress, and collective responsibility in building a more inclusive and prosperous Ogun State and the nation at large.
