Nigeria's Best Primary School Teacher, Francis Solanke Becomes Ambassador Of Basic Education In Ogun

The reigning Nigeria's Best School Teacher, Mr. Francis Solanke, has been appointed as Ambassador of Basic Education by the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), in recognition of his outstanding performance at the Zonal and National levels.

Chairman of the Board, Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, made the announcement while receiving Mr. Solanke, alongside his brand new car, at the Board Secretariat Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying the appointment was aimed at leveraging Solanke’s experience and expertise to strengthen teaching standards across the state.

He noted that many teachers are eager to improve, urging the award-winning teacher to mentor them and also continue to develop himself academically, so as to leave a lasting legacy in teaching profession.

“Where you are today is not a day’s job. You must have invested in self-development, especially in technology. We need you to help us mentor teachers who are ready to grow, at least ten teachers per local government,” he said.

In his response, Mr. Solanke expressed gratitude to the State Government under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, the SUBEB Chairman and members of the board for providing him with a platform to excel, pledging to continue giving his best in service, to the State and to support efforts aimed at improving basic education.
