The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) has disbursed scholarship award totalling N47, 414,160 to Fifty-three (53) students of Lagos State University (LASU) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The students received the award under WAPCo’s annual scholarship scheme, having fulfilled the criteria of satisfactory academic performance set by the company.
The scholarship is intended to support tuition fees, books, and other study-related expenses.
The funds according to a statement, were released in four tranches: N23,707,080, N15,804,720, N2,634,120, and N5,268,240, bringing the total disbursement to N47.4 million.
Beneficiaries cut across several faculties and disciplines within LASU, including Medicine and Surgery, Law, Nursing Science, Dentistry, Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Mass Communication, English Language, and Education-related programmes.
