Tourism Expert, Bimbo Alagbe, Ogun State Chairman of Trade Union Congress, Comrade Akeem Lasisi, former governorship aspirant of People's Democratic Party PDP, Otunba Segun Sowunmi , Marketing Director of Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC), Mr.Dehinde Boye have lauded the opening "West End Hotel", an emerging brand in Nigeria's tourism and hospitality sector , located at the Sabo in Lafenwa area of Abeokuta, the State capital
They all in their separate remarks during the formal commissioning of the beautiful facility, applauded the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of West End Hotel, Mr. Babatunde Falodun for his vision in establishing hotel by taking advantage of huge business opportunities in tourism and hospitality sector to create more jobs and contribute to the economic growth of the ancient city of Abeokuta
Alagbe in his keynote speech, expressed confidence in the ability of management of West End Hotel to transform the economy of the Sabo community, given the quality of facilities available to tourists to feel the natural environment of Sabo in Abeokuta
He added that West End as a community based hotel must be committed to its corporate social responsibility, by providing potable water for people in the host community, as part of marketing strategies of promoting the brand" West End" among the local residents who will be first set of referrals to always recommend the hotel facility for visitors or tourists who want to secluded, serened and secured place to lodge for a night or two before leaving the city
Alagbe who has a good track record of
managing five-star hotels within the country , however urged the management of the West End Hotel to consider the inclusion of local cuisine as part of menu list for Lodgers or tourists who want to have a feel local foods in Abeokuta
Similarly, the Chairman of the historic commissioning, Otunba Segun Sowunwi represented by one of aides , Prince Olatunde Oladunjoye, commended the initiative of the promotor of the West End Hotel, attesting to the top-notch facilities available in the various rooms for lodgers who want to relax in comfortable and secured environment
Sowunwi who pledged to recommend West End Hotel for his political supporters within and outside the State, assured the management of continuous patronage the hotel
Also the State TUC Chairman, Comrade Lasisi described the commissioning of West End Hotel as a celebration of visionary, resilience and dedicated leadership of Comrade Falodun whom he described as a committed union leader while in public service
According to him, investment in the establishment of West End Hotel, is an investment in the community and creation of job opportunities for the people
He equally assured the management of the hotel of the needed patronage, particularly by members of TUC and affiliated unions
Equally, the OPIC Marketing Director, described Falodun as colleague who is very passionate about hospitality business, and urged the management of the West End Hotel to consider provision of potable water for the community, saying it will enhance the corporate image and boost the patronage of the facility both within and outside the Sabo community in Abeokuta
Earlier, the highly elated CEO of West End Hotel, Falodun in his welcome speech, assured lodgers and tourists to Abeokuta of the commitment of the management to sustenance of high standards , trust and continuos improvement in the services being rendered to exceed the expectations of the people
"West End Hotel will be more than just a building with rooms . It will be an extension of my home and by extension, yours "

Falodun, a retired former OPIC Director of. ( Building and Client Services) says West End is committed to comfortable and secured lodging services, a well-curated Bar and Restaurant services , efficient laundry services while providing elegant spaces for events, conferences and meetings
He listed other services being provided by West End Hotel, to include professional property Consultancy and reliable cleaning services for home offices
The CEO then appealed to community leaders for guidance and support while urging his friends and other guests to see the hotel facility as their own by way of patronage
" Your word -of-mouth will be our strongest advertisement", he stated
High point of the event was officially unveiling of West End Hotel by Chief Segun Sowunwi accompanied by the CEO , Falodun and Mrs Oluwaseyi Falodun who later conducted other dignatries on facilities tour of the hotel
Some of standard facilities include a well furnished standard rooms for visitors, spacious bar for relaxation conference and meeting
West End Hotel also provide outdoor catering service to customers , particularly fast foods such as meat pie, sausage and delicious small chops
