Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has commenced monitoring of teachers in public secondary schools in the four divisions of the State, to further demonstrate its commitment to an improved teaching and learning outcomes in classrooms
The Chairman, TESCOM, Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu, while addressing the teaching and non-teaching staff at Oke-Ẹri Comprehensive High School, and Ogbogbo Baptist Grammar School in Ijebu North East as well as Community Comprehensive High School, Orita J4 in Ijebu East Local Government Areas, said the commission was embarking on initiatives to would turn around the State teaching workforce for optimal performance.
Represented by the Full Time Commissioner I, Hon. Adeola Akintande, the Chairman stated that teachers' dedication to duty would enhance students' performance with a multiplying effect on the State’s standard of education.
He commended the teachers for displaying sense of responsibility, diligence and their compliance with the commission’s policy, encouraging them to sustain the act of punctuality, proper dressing among others.
Responding, Principal, Ogbogbo Baptist Grammar School (Senior), Mrs. Lateefat Adesoga and Vice Principal, Oke-Ẹri Comprehensive High School, Mr. Adebayo Mafe, appreciated the TESCOM team for the exercise, assuring the Commission of teachers’ commitment to effective service delivery.
The TESCOM team also visited Ahmadiyya Comprehensive High School, Oni and Ilushin Grammar School, Efire Community High School and others all in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of the State.
