Ogun TESCOM Remains Committed To Equitable Redistribution Of Teachers- Apostle Sanyaolu

 

The Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) says it remains resolute in creating equitable teaching and learning environment at public secondary schools in urban, semi-urban and rural areas across the State 

Chairman of the Commission, Apostle 'Biodun Sanyaolu made this known at a meeting with stakeholders and union leaders in the teaching profession at Oke- Mosan in Abeokuta.

Apostle Sanyaolu says it is imperative at this time to correct some anomalies regarding teachers' redistribution to make the secondary school system vibrant in all ramifications, noting that the process has come to stay to sustain the standard of education in the State. 

The redistribution exercise according to him, is not out of the context of the public service, but it is a must to do to salvage the loopsidedness of subject teachers in secondary schools in the nooks and crannies of the State for better outcomes in students' performance.

He enjoined the union leaders to convince their members on the good intention of TESCOM, assuring that genuine and tenable issues would be attended to at all times.

 Contributing, the Principals-General for Ẹ̀gbá Division, Mr. Babatunde Ige, Yewa Division, Mr Taoheed Bankole and Ijebu Division, Mr. Babatunji Yusuf affirmed they were duly involved in the redistribution process, describing it as thorough, transparent and needed to standardise school and teaching system.

In their separate responses, the State union leaders of Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, Nigeria Union of Teachers, and Non- Academic Staff Union appreciated the commission taken the bold step towards addressing the imbalance in teachers deployment to secondary schools.
