Registrar of the university, Mrs. Blossom E. Okorie, in a notice issued, says the new academic session will begin on Monday,with lectures for all students starting on the same day including the newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 session are expected to resume alongside returning students.
The University’s resumption schedule is as follows:
Monday, November 3, 2025: Commencement of First Semester and registration begins.
November 3 – November 5, 2025: Registration without penalty (2 weeks).
November 24 – December 5, 2025: Registration with penalty (2 weeks).
November 3 – December 12, 2025: Lectures for all students (6 weeks).
December 15 – 19, 2025: Orientation for new students.
December 22, 2025 – January 2, 2026: Christmas break (2 weeks).
January 5 – February 13, 2026: Resumption and continuation of lectures (6 weeks).
February 16 – 20, 2026: Revision of lectures.
February 23 – March 6, 2026: First Semester Examinations (2 weeks).
Students are advised to complete their registration through the University Portal within the stipulated period. Failure to register on time may result in the forfeiture of studentship and voluntary withdrawal from the University.
The date for the Matriculation Ceremony will be communicated in due course.
All Faculties and Departments have been directed to strictly adhere to this schedule.
