The immediate past president of Abuja Metropolitan Lions Club, Lion Oluyomi Coker has dedicated his recent International President’s Leadership Award to members of the club for their strong belief in the power of service and humanity.
Lion Coker who served between 2024 and 2025, stressed the need for every member to continue work together and lead with courage, serve with compassion and make their mark in building a better society
"This honour belongs to everyone who believes in the power of service and humanity. Together, we will continue to lead with courage, serve with compassion, and make our mark in building a better world"
"I also extend sincere appreciation to my fellow Lions across our districts, especially the Abuja Metropolitan Lions Club, for their partnership, trust, and unwavering support," he stated
He described the award as not only personal milestone but also a tribute to the collective spirit of service that defines the organization.
"I am deeply humbled and profoundly honoured to receive the International President’s Leadership Award from Lions Clubs International President, Lion Fabricio Oliveira. This recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a tribute to the collective spirit of service that defines our great organization", he acknowledged
Lion Coker expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Oliveira for his inspiring leadership and kind words of encouragement and to the Lions Clubs International for providing a platform where compassion meets purposeful action.
"I must also recognize the exemplary leadership of our Pragmatic Immediate Past District Governor, Lion (Sir) Maurice Ibok PMJF and other senior pragmatic cabinet members and Club presidents", he appreciated
The immediate past president of Abuja Metropolitan Lions Club, said that the leadership award would strengthen his resolve to continue advancing the ideals of MISSION 1.5 targeted at impacting, reaching out and touching more lives across communities
"Service remains the cornerstone of our mission, and this award strengthens my resolve to continue advancing the ideals of MISSION 1.5 which is growing our impact, expanding our reach, and touching more lives across communities", he maintained
