The Waali of Ogun State chapter of TMC, Dr. Abdulrazaq Ogunmoye who announced this in a statement made available to Edu-biznews on Thursday, said that the medical services would be carried out by the Faith-based organization in collaborations with Accurate Medical Laboratory as well as a community-based organisation, The Patriots, and a Non-governmental organisation, Damien foundation.
Dr. Ogunmoye asked prospective beneficiaries of the free healthcare services to report at the venue by 8a.m to get access to free medical checkups, consultation medications, and many more.
Similarly, The Muslim Congress (TMC) added that it will also use the occasion of Nigeria’s independence anniversary to host its 18th annual lecture with the theme: “The Nigerian State and Lessons From Contemporary History” to be chaired by the former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, former Minister of Steels and Mines. Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola, who is the Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta.
Ambassador Ishola who had earlier given his commitment to be physically present at the event, charged Muslims to be actively involved in politics and nation building.
The Waali in the statement further stated that the founder and director of Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), Professor Ishaq Akintola will deliver the first lecture titled: “The New World Order: Local Political Dynamics, Global Diplomacy, and Pathways to Genuine National Sovereignty”
He added that the second lecture would be delivered by Sheikh Abdul Hafeez Ariremako, the director, Al-Qudraa Schools, Ibadan, and Chief Imam of Ologuneru TMC Mosque
The lecture will focus on “Shariah in a Pluralistic Society: Prospects, Challenges, and Strategies for Effective Implementation.”
The keynote speaker, according to the statement, will be Senator Adegbenga Sefiu Kaka, former deputy governor of Ogun State, with Hon. Lukman Olajide Atobatele, Deputy Minority leader of Ogun State House of Assembly representing Abeokuta South 2 State Constituency, and Prince Adebayo Samsudeen Apelogun (All Rounder), Asiwaju Adeen of Ogun State, as distinguished special guests of honour.
The fathers of the day include High Chief Alhaji Sikirullai Olatunde Atobatele, the Balogun of Egbaland; Sheikh Iskeel Lawal Sugar, Wakeelu Muslimeen of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, and Alhaji Kamaldeen Akintunde (Esq), Secretary-General, Ogun State Muslim Council (OMC).
The Spiritual Fathers of the Day are; Sheikh Sa’adatullahi Bamgbola, the Chief Imam of Egbaland; Sheikh Miftaudeen Gbadegesin Ayabadejo, the Cheif Imam of Ijebuland; Sheikh Mustapha Adewunmi, the Grand Chief Imam of Ilaro, Yewa land; and Emeritus Professor Kamaldeen Balogun, the Chief Imam of Gbagura.
Other highlights of the event will include the presentation of awards to outstanding personalities in Ogun State, presentation of health insurance certificates to Baales from Abeokuta South 2 constituency, and special digital literacy competition
