Governing Council of the Tai Solarin Federal University of Education, Ijagun,Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State has appointed Professor Adekunle Olanrewaju Adeogun, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, as the Acting Vice-Chancellor pending the appointment of the substantive Vice-Chancellor for the University.
The decision was taken at the emergency meeting of the council held on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025
Registrar and Secretary to the Council, Sunday Oladapo Oke who announced the appointment in a statement, says it will take effect from 4th November 2025 when the tenure of the present Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwole Banjo, would terminate.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwole Banjo in the statement, on behalf of the entire university community, congratulated the Acting Vice-Chancellor and prayed for God’s guidance and benevolence in his new task.
TASUED is Nigeria's premier university of education which has been taken by the Federal Government from the former owner (Ogun State Government)
