The draw conducted on Friday at the State Secretariat of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) , the organizers of the annual football competition, saw Amotekun Corps and Fire Service as two teams in the group of death
In group B of the competition, reigning champions, Nigeria Custom Service will be trading tackles with Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Correctional Service and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) sides for the two tickets in the group
The State SWAN, Chairman, Comrade Azeez Michael- Ogunsiji during the draw ceremony, assured every team of equal treatment and fair competition
He urged the participating teams from the eight security agencies to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship, saying the competition is about strengthening the spirit of friendship among the security agencies and not a do or die affairs
The State SWAN Chairman enjoined the participating teams to always abide by the rules of the game in order to ensure a hitch-free competition
The competition according to him, has provided employment opportunities for youths who were recruited into various security agencies as footballers
Similarly former National Vice President of SWAN and veteran sports writer, Deacon Kunle Oluwusi appealed to the participating teams to adhere strictly by the rules of the game, so as to ensure a rancour-free competition
He lauded the organizers for sustenance of the standard in the four previous editions of the annual football fiesta
