Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has inducted new 215 Principal designates into the secondary schools in the State with a charge to lead with passion and sense of purpose in order further enhance an enabling environment for teaching and learning in the State.
Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission, Apostle Abiodun Sanyaolu gave the charge during the induction ceremony at Baptist Boys High School, Saje, Abeokuta.
Apostle Sanyaolu, said Principals as school administrators were instrumental in fostering culture of academic excellence, equity and inclusiveness.
The TESCOM boss stated that they were regarded as partners in progress with the Commission in order to improve the standard of education in public schools.
" I want to assure you that the Commission will continue to provide necessary resources, training and retraining, as well as ensure adequate welfare of the teaching and non- teaching staff'', he added.
In their goodwill messages, the Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board, Evans. Olalekan Ifede, President, All Confederation of Principals of Secondary School, Mr. Adeniyi Adekoya, and Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers, Mr. Noah Sewakanu, congratulated the inductees for their steadfastness in attaining the position of Principal.
They urged the inductees to act professionally, embrace teamwork and establish mutual relationship with parents and the communities of schools they would be posted to.
Two of the inductees, Mr. Inua Olagesin and Mrs. Abidemi Oniyide expressed delight for attaining the position of Principal, pledging to be diligent in the course of carrying out their responsibilities.
