S.A Rasheed Foundation's Founder Admonishes Nigerians To Be More Committed To Assist Others, As School Children, Smale Scale Business Owners Get Support





Founder of a Non-profit organization, S.A Foundation, Alhaji Sefiu Aremu Rasheed has admonished Nigerians to be more committed to serving the less privileged in the society, just as the foundation supported learners from selected schools in Abeokuta , the Ogun State capital with cash awards to support their educational needs  and other individuals from various communities with cash to grow their small scale businesses 

He gave the admonition during the 8th edition of the foundation's joint support programme with Society of Muslim Professionals(SMP), for the less privileged in the society held recently at Solar Distinct Schools Hall in Abeokuta 


Alhaji Rasheed who quoted from Surah Maidah, Ayat 2 in the Holy Quran, charged the wealthy individuals to have zeal to always make themselves available to serve the needy in the society 

"Let's strive to make a positive impact in our community, working together to uplift those around us", he urged 

Quoting from Surah Baqarah, Ayat 153 and Surah Jathiya, Ayat 15 from the Quoran, he stressed the need for people to serve with compassion, providing practical support and guidance for the less privileged while encouraging them with words of affirmation to succeed in the society 

"Lead with Zeal, Make ourselves available to serve others.Serve with Compassion*: Provide practical support and guidance, helping others apply values of kindness and empathy".

"Let's use our words to uplift, inspire, and motivate others: "And speak to people good [words]" (Surah Baqarah, Ayat 83)", he further admonished 


Similarly, Vice-President of Society of Muslim Professionals, Alhaji Mikail Anifowose described SA. Rasheed Foundation as  a household name , committed to championing the cause of the less privileged in the society since 2018

"Since inception, the Foundation has touched many lives; Empowerment of men/women in the community, payment of WAEC/NECO Examinations of some Indigent Students, payment of Hospital bills at F.M.C. Lantoro and State Hospitals for some whe found it difficult to pay, constructions of bole holes in the community. Donations of School Uniforms to some schools etc", he stated 

The Vice-President expressed appreciated the likes of Alh. R. Odunaye, Alh. Kamal Akintunde, Alh. Okenia AbdulRasheed, Alh. Daud Akinbo and Alhaja Serifat Eniola Atanda for their continuous financial and moral support for the foundation and Society of Muslim Professionals 






High point of the event included the presentation of cash gift of N10,000 to assist learners  from selected primary and secondary schools and cash gift of N50,000 to individuals for the enhancement of their small scale businesses 

The event attracted Arch. (Dr.) Jolaoso Koye (Rector, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic) Abeokuta who chaired the occasion, Alhaja Oluwatosin Mariam Oloko. (Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology as Mother of the Day, Professor Akinola Akinlabi (Rector, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology. Igboora, Oyo State) as the Distinguished Special Guest of Honour, Elder Michael O. Idowu (Retired Accountant General/Permanent Secretary (Treasury), Ogun State Treasury Office who was Special Guest of Honour, Dr. Idris Jimoh (Senter Registrar. Department of Internal Medicine, FMC, Abeokuta as Guest Speaker amongst other dignitaries
