Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya has charged Comrade Akeem Lasisi to renew his commitment to the noble cause of workers on his re-election as Chairman of the State Council of Trade Union Congress (TUC), even as he assured unions of the readiness of the Prince Dapo Abiodun's administration to always engage them at a round-table in the collective interest of the workforce and sustainable progress of the state
The State Head of Service who gave the charge in a congratulatory message to the re-elected State Chairman of TUC, dated Monday 25th of August,2025, expressed optimism that the second term tenure of Lasisi would record unprecedented achievements that would have greater impact on the lives of workers
Onasanya in the congratulatory message, described the re-election of Comrade Lasisi as a clear proof of the confidence and trust reposed in him by TUC members
The message reads in part:
" No doubt, your emergence for another term is a clear proof of the confidence and trust reposed in you by your colleagues which was clearly borne-out of your effective management of the mandate entrusted to you during your first tenure
"Indeed, your efforts and stern commitment towards safeguarding the welfare and well-being of workers across diverse trades in our dear state have not gone unnoticed "
"Permit me to also acknowledge the cordial and constructive relationship that has existed between your leadership and the Government through out your first term in office"
"It is my firm belief that this mutual co-operation has contributed in no small measure to the peace and progress being enjoyed within the Labour-Government space "
The State Head of Service in conclusion prayed God to give Comrade Lasisi more wisdom to run the affairs of TUC for the next four years in the state
Comrade Lasisi was re-elected during the state's maiden quadrennial delegates conference of TUC held on Thursday August 21, 2025 in Abeokuta, the state capital
