Police have assured investors in Ogun State of a more secured business environment for their investment as it unfolded plan to deploy the use of modern technology in tightening security in the state
The State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo PhD stated this over the weekend while featuring as a guest on a programme in the Abeokuta studio of National Standard Television (NSTV), Lagos
Use of technology policing according to him, has helped in reducing crime rate drastically in the state
He added that the new technology app to be introduced soonest, would need participation of residents in assisting security agencies in policing the state.
CP Ogunlowo acknowledged the previous efforts of the past police commissioners whom according to him, had laid a solid foundation for securing the state.
He also attributed the relative level of security being enjoyed in the state to prompt report of crimes and responses on daily basis, in addition to collaboration among security agencies in intelligence gathering and sharing, saying the use of modern technology are working together with the use of intelligence in achieving the desired results
