The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has revealed that 14,685 candidates representing 61% out of the 29,260 candidates that sat for the 2025 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) entrance examination into Federal Technical Colleges, scored below 50% mark
Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed made this known on Thursday while announcing the results of the examimation in Benin City in the Edo State capital during the opening of a three-day working session for the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) results and the Selection/Placement exercise of qualified candidates into the FTCs.
He added that only 9,389 representing 39.00% scored 50% and above.
The NABTEB boss said 316 candidates representing 1.31% scored 70% and above.
The Registrar assured that only the most talented and motivated students would be admitted based on fair, transparent and merit based selection process
“I would like to particularly focus on the process of the selection of candidates into FTC’s. As we strive for excellence in our programs, it is crucial that we identify and admit students who are best-suited to benefit from our training offerings", he stated
