Anu-Olu Inter'l College Abeokuta Celebrates Academic Excellence, Outstanding Students, Teachers




Management of one of the Nigeria's,leading Secondary Schools, Anu-Olu International College in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital has continued to reward its outstanding students for excellent performance, sports and other extra-curricular activities during the 2024/2025 academic session 

Proprietor of Anu-Olu Group of Schools Abeokuta, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal on Wednesday at the school's valedictory service/send forth for the graduating students in both Senior Secondary School and Junior Secondary School, also announced cash prize award of N10,000 sponsored by Omoleye Olabode Foundation to each of the students for exceptional performances as overall best students in their respective classes








The students with exceptional academic results according to him, will also enjoy 50 percent cut in their tuition fees in the coming session which has been the school's traditional way of encouraging academic excellence 

The Head-girl of the graduating class of Senior Secondary School, Mayowa Eniola Senjobi emerged as overall best student for the academic session while Mr. Sobayo Olanrewaju was adjudged as most dedicated staff 

Other staff including Mr. Phillip Ale and Mrs Majekodunmi were equally appreciated for their commitment to the growth of the school while the principal of the college, Mr. Oluwaseun Balogun was adjudged as the "Most Innovative and Diligent Staff 









The students who emerged overall best student in various classes include Peter Daniel in JSS 1, Eyinna Favour in JSS 2 who also emerged among the top 20 in Mathematical competition among schools in Lagos and Ogun and Alebiosu Oluwajomiloju in JSS 3 who scored As in her subjects taken at Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECCE) conducted by the National Examination Council (NECO)












In the Senior Secondary School classes, Adage Madeline Aleluya emerged as overall best in SSS 1 while Akinboyede Yusrot won the best prize for the SSS 2 class 

Similarly some of the students were given scholarship awards including Head-boy Bilesanmi Abdul-Rahman, Aishat Arowolo and Aishat Mopelola Soroye while others were appreciated for their outstanding performances representing the school in sporting activities including Oseni Suliat Omotunde as well as Bakare Mubarak and Jinadu Taiwo 












In Literally and Debating, Fakorede Josephine and Aderounmu Sofiat were rewarded for doing the school proud in various competitions among schools in the state and Nigeria at large 

Chairman of the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission, Apostle Biodun Sanya-Olu urged the graduating class in Senior Secondary School to use the knowledge and skills acquired during their six years academic journey in the school to excel in their future endeavours 


"It is not merely about academic achievement, it is about harnessing your talents and abilities to make a meaningful contribution to society. As you embark on this new chapter, remember that empowerment emanates not only from within but also from the relationship you foster and the experiences you accumulate", he admonished the graduating students 


The TESCOM boss represented by the Director of Administration and Supply, Mr Osibodu Akintomiwa as Chairman of the event, also called on them to remain open to learning, saying they should exhibit resilience in the face of challenges and remain committed to making the difference 

Also in her moral talk, Mrs Falowo Olanrewaju cautioned members of the graduating class of 2025 to shun all forms of anti-social vices including*Cultism*, *Prostitution* popularly known as "Hook up", *Cyber Crime* , Yahoo -Yahoo boys in local parlance and Drug Abuse capable of destroying their very bright future 


She encouraged parents of graduating students to always guide them properly to remain focused on their future academic pursuits as they secure admission into higher institutions 

High point of the event included announcement of various donations by donors to support physical infrastructure in the school to enhance teaching and learning environment 








Hon. Omoleye Olabode announced the immediate donations of a million naira including endowment fund and N180, 000 total cash prizes for students with exceptional academic performances 














Students in various classes equally entertained the parents are dignitaries including representative of the State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dario and owners of Career Builder Nursery and Primary School Abeokuta, Madam Toluwanike and that of Al-Medinah School, Abeokuta, Alhaji Amolegbe former Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Lukmon Shonekan, Mr.Tajudeen Sodeinde, a retired teacher who taught the proprietor , Hon. Lawal in English language and Economics in Secondary School amongst others 





Members of the 2025 graduating students also presented a gift to the school in appreciation of the contribution to their educational growth
