Activities marking the 2025 Democracy Day in Ogun State is scheduled to commence with special prayer on Thursday for the repose of the acclaimed winner of the annulled June 12 1993 election, Bashorun M.K.O Abiola at his Oja Agbo family house, Gbagura in Abeokuta, the State capital
Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi who announced this in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews on Tuesday, said that the prayer session holding by 8.00 a.m, would be followed by a symposium during which a lecture titled “June 12: Electoral Reforms and Democratic Consolidation, Enhancing Voter's confidence through Technology’’ would be delivered by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Attorney- General/ Commissioner for Justice in Oyo State, Mr. Mutalubi Ojo Adebayo
The venue of the symposium according to the statement, is the Hubert Ogunde Hall, June 12 Cultural Cetre, Kuto Aboukta starting by 10 a.m.
Talabi in the statement added that Governor Dapo Abiodun would direct affairs at the event, urging all invited guests which include civil society groups and political activists to be seated by 9.30 a.m.
