A Non-Governmental Organization, Ireede Oginni Grassroots Foundation has felicitated Muslims in Nigeria on the spiritual celebration of this year's Eid-el- Kabir on Friday, calling on them to always imbibe the act of sadaqah and zakat by assisting the poor and less privileged ones in the society which is the essence of the festive period as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim
Founder of the foundation, Hajia (Chief), Zainab Funmilayo Ireede-Oginni who gave the admonition in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews, stressed the importance of assisting the less privileged, saying it will go a long way to cushion the hardship of the current economic situation in the country
The co-founder of Future Promise Group of Schools, Lantoro Abeokuta, in Ogun State capital, expressed commitment of her foundation to always support the less privileged in the society, particularly women in rural areas through empowerment scheme to assist them in their small businesses to alleviate poverty in the society
She also said that the foundation would continue to provide regular scholarship for gifted and brilliant children from poor homes to actualize the dreams of furthering education to higher institution
Chief Executive Officer CEO of Terra Integrated Services Limited, an emerging congromerate in Nigeria, urged Muslims to continue to be steadfast in their prayers for government at all levels for Nigeria to overcome current economic challenges
