Al-Mu'minaat Yewa-Egba Zone Amirah's Daughter Weds Former National Amirah's Son In Ogun




It was a bundle of joys and blessings for families of both Amirah of Al-Mu'minaat Yewa-Egba Zone, Hajia Sekinat Yusuf Awotunde and former National Amirah of the organization , Hajia Nimotallah Abdul-Qadr Oyeyemi witnessing an Aqeedu-Nikkah ceremony of their daughter, Aisha Omolara Atoke Yusuf, who is an Anatomist and son, Abdullah Moyosore-Oluwa Abdul-Qadr , a Lawyer

Hajia Sekinat, an Educationist with the Ogun State Teaching Service is the mother of the bride while Hajia Nimotallah who is also an Educationist with the Lagos State Government, is the mother of the groom 




The Nikkah held on Saturday June 14, 2025 inside the beautiful Agro- terra Resort Centre Hall at Joga-Orile , Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, attracted dignitaries including top members of Al-Mu'minaat and The Muslim Congress (TMC) across Nigeria, particularly in Ogun State 

Shaykh Dhikrullah Shafi , the Mufti, Conference of Islamic Organizations, conducted the Aqeedu Nikkah between the coup after the completion of the marriage rites in accordance with Sharia, the Islamic laws and principles which included the payment of bride's prize of $250 equivalent of N400,000 by the groom 




Before conducting the Nikkah, the groom's father , Dr.Muhammad Sabiu Abdul Qadr of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka had requested hands in marriage of Aisha, the bride from her father, Imam Sirajudeen Yusuf , a Fellow of the Institute of Human and Natural Resources and the Chief Imam of TMC in Benin Republic who wholeheartedly accepted the humble request in the presence of two witnesses 





The cleric quoting relevant chapters in the Holy-qu'ran and Hadiths of the Prophet Mohammed (Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon him), stressed the importance of marriage among Muslim ummah and why the couple must uphold firmly, the Islamic principles in the conduct of their family affairs 


Imam Dhikrulah maintained that the husband, as Head of the family must always be alive to his responsibilities at home which include providing for the needs of family and satisfying his wife sexually which according to him, is very important for sustenance of the marriage 

The Cleric equally advised the wife to be submissive and be a good cook, so as  to win the heart of her husband at home 

Similarly Sheikh Tirimidh Muhammad Jamiu in his earlier lecture at the Nikkah had admonished Muslim parents to always give priority to both Western and Quranic Education, so as to raise a morally upright children that will be a shining light in the society 


The Islamic Scholar who is also the Imam of Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation, lauded the parents of the couple for the proper upbringing of their children, urging both husband and wife to always imbibe the teachings of Islam in their daily activities, so as to ensure a peaceful marriage that will last forever 











The former Amir of The Muslim Congress, Ustadh Engineer Abdul-Ganiy Ibn Sadiq Atitebi then prayed for the success of the marriage , seeking the protection of Allah against all forms of evils for the couple, as they commenced the journey of raising their own family 


High point of the Nikkah included the presentation of marriage certificate to the husband, Abdullah by Dr.Lukman Adefuye of HOB Hospital , Elega Abeokuta and presentation of gifts by well-wishers to the couple 

Mr. Abdullah later on behalf of the couple expressed appreciation to their parents for the success of the Nikkah and dignitaries who attended the ceremony 




Some of the other prominent dignitaries in attendance include Chief Imam of Imasayi land and Head of League of Alfas of Isokan, Alhaji Abdul-Ganny Bisiriyu , Imam Central Mosque Joga-Orile, Imam Suleiman Bello, , Alhaji (Engr)
Abdul Rasheed Afonja who is the Custodian of Agro Terra Resort Centre, Oba(Dr) Lukman Adeleke Kuoye from the Olu of Imasayi kingdom, Imam Issa Togbeoji from Benin Republic and Alhaji Agemo Sulaimon , a principal of Salawu Abiola Comprehensive High School Osiele, Abeokuta and the former Waali of TMC in Ogun State 










Others prominent people who attended the ceremony included Principal of Obalaju High School, Imasayi, Mrs.Ademola Yusuf, Principal of Oluaso High School, Mr. Adetona, Naib Imam of Iro Central Mosque, Alhaji Nureni Yusuf, Alhaji Abdul-Ganiy Abdul -Salam from Offa, Kwara, as well as Ustadh Ibrahim Owoniko from Ilaro in Yewa South Local Government and Dr.Abdul-Razaq Ogunmoye who is the TMC Waali in Ogun State amongst others
