Editorial Board and Management of Edu-Biznews have joined Governor Dapo Abiodun in mourning Chief (Mrs) Omodunni Morayo, the wife of the Ogun State Council of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Comrade Akeem Lasisi, who died on the 23rd of May, 2025 .
The online media organization in a condolence message by its Managing Editor, Abdulfatai Sobande, expressed its heartfelt condolences to the TUC Chairman and entire family of Lasisi over the irreplaceable loss of their beloved wife and mother while praying to Allah to grant her departed soul, Aljanah Firdaus
Governor Abiodun had earlier in a condolence message dated 26th of May, 2025 personally signed by him on behalf of his family, government and entire good People of Ogun State, expressed deepest consequences to both Lasisi and Akerele families
"I conveyed our deepest condolences to you and entire families of Lasisi and Akerele over this irreplaceable loss "
"There is no gainsaying the fact that the death of a beloved one, especially a soul mate is usually a painful experience that is quite heart-rending and certainly a rest of faith like no other. But as believers we must summon courage and praise the name of Almighty Allah for a life well-spent and positive impact she recorded during her brief sojourn on earth", he stated
Chief(Mrs) Lasisi according to him, was widely respected woman, who through out her lifetime devoted her energy and resources to the service of Almighty Allah
Governor Abiodun described the deceased as a distinguished individual of her generation, a role model to womanhood and accomplished business woman who was conferred with Chieftancy title of Iyalaje Isale-Igbehin because of her immeasurable contributions to the community
He acknowledged the passion of the late wife of TUC Chairman for education and nurturing of future generation through establishment of Omodunni Nursery and Primary School in Isale-Igbehin area of Abeokuta
"I urged you to take solace in the understanding that Chief (Mrs) Lasisi lived an impactful life and left behind fond memories that her name, even in death will always evoke ..May Almighty Allah comfort you, the children and entire family. May He also grant the departed soul Aljanah Firdaus", the condolence message concluded
The Eight -day Fridau prayers had since been held for the deceased in Abeokuta, where family members and loved ones offered prayers to Allah to grant her departed soul Aljanah Firdaus
