UNILAG Apologizes To Graduands Over Error On Certificates Issued At 55th Convocation , Calls For Return

Management of the University of Lagos has apologized to graduands over an error in the inscriptions on the certificates issued to them at the 55th Convocation Ceremonies of the institution 

Registrar and Secretary to Governing Council of the university, Mrs. Abosede Wickliffe who tendered the unreserved apology in a statement obtained by Edu-Biznews on Tuesday, asked the affected graduands who have collected the certificates to return them for re-issuance

The university however expressed regret over the inconveniency the error on the certificates issued to the affected graduates might have caused them, saying the issuance of the certificates has been stopped while measures are being taken to rectify the error noticed on the certificates 

For further clarification or enquiries on the matter, the university asked the general public to contact the Registry via registrar_office@unilag.edu.ng

The statement reads in part:

"The University of Lagos apologizes for an error in the inscriptions on the certificates issued to graduates at the 55th Convocation Ceremonies"

"We understand that this may have caused inconvenience, and assure our graduates and the public that measures are being taken to rectify the error".

"The issuance of the certificates has been stopped, and graduates who have collected these certificates are to return them for re-issuance"
