Chancellor and Chairman Board of Trustees of Chrisland University in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, High Chief, (Dr. ) Winifred Awosika and Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oyedunni Sola Arulogun have cautioned fresh students of the institution against Cultism, Examination malpractices and other unruly acts, vowing to sanction any of them who violates the Matriculation oath
The duo issued the warning on Thursday in their separate speeches during the 10th Matriculation Ceremony of the university for the newly admitted 376 students for the 2024/2025 academic session held inside its main auditorium on Ajebo Road , Owode, Abeokuta , calling on them to be a shining light and good ambassadors for Chrisland University family
The highly elated Chancellor urged the matriculated students to always shun all forms of disgraceful acts, by upholding rules and regulations of Chrisland University, saying they must see themselves as children of light who must rise and shine for the world to see and appreciate at end of their respective academic programmes in the Institution
Similarly Vice-Chancellor of the university reminded the students of oath taken, saying Chrisland University has zero tolerance for any form of misconduct including Cultism, Examination malpractices among others
"Chrisland University has zero tolerance for any form of misconduct, including Examination Malpractice, Cultism, unruly and violent behaviour, drug Addiction, willful Destruction of the University property among others. We will not hesitate to sanction any misdemeanor", she warned
"I implore you to respect your colleagues and staff of the University to make your stay fruitful and productive. Be modest and decent in your approach to issues, adhering strictly to the rules and regulations enshrined in the Students Handbook", she further cautioned
The Vice-Chancellor expressed the commitment of the university to always provide conducive environment for academic excellence, describing the institution as student friendly well-equipped with necessary facilities for them to excel in their various academic programmes
"We are committed to providing you with the best learning environment, equipped with world-class facilities, an outstanding faculty, and a student-friendly atmosphere that fosters personal and professional growth. Our University is student-centered and a robust boot camp for nurturing the next Generation of informed leaders. The vision of Chrisland University according to her, is hinged on the dreams of the founder captured in the vision ‘to become a world –class university renowned for intellectual freedom, ethical standards, research, community service and the outstanding training of a new generation of leaders’.
The Vice-Chancellor enjoined the fresh students to be focused and disciplined by making best use of resources available to them to excel

Earlier, Dr. Emma Jimo in his Matriculation lecture titled "The Power of Self Discovery ", urged the matriculated students to always exhibit high level of consistency with good habits and delete all the negative habits, if they must discover themselves and be useful for the society
He urged them to be focused on their education and avoid all forms of distractions that would prevent from actualizing goals at end of their respective academic programmes in the university
The students were formally admitted into five colleges of Chrisland University including College of Management, Arts and Social Sciences (CAMASS), College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CONAS), College of Basic Medical Sciences (COBAMS), Faculty of Nursing and College of Law (COLAW).
The event also witnessed the presentation of gift by the Vice-Chancellor to the guest speaker in appreciation of the university's management for the well delivered Matriculation lecture
