Remo Stars Disunite Kwara Utd 2-0 In Ikenne-Remo, Widen Lead In NPFL, As Enyimba Fall To Katsina Utd



Remo Stars of Ikenne-Remo on Thursday widen their lead on the table of Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL after a 2-0 against visiting Kwara United of Ilorin 

Goals from Anakwe and Haruna in the 79th and stoppage time 94th minutes ensured that the Daniel Ogunmodede tutored side secured the three maximum points in a week 25 match played at Remo Stars International Stadium, leaving the visitors in the 10th position with 35 points

With the result, the Skye Blues Stars with 51 points are 10 points clear ahead of the second placed Shooting Stars of Ibadan who forced visiting Lobi Stars of Markudi to a two-all draw 

While the Oluyole Warriors currently in the second position with 41 points, Lobi Stars are still languishing at the bottom of the table with 23 points 

Finidi George tutored side, Rivers United of Port Harcourt displaced Enugu Rangers in the third position, after settling for a one-all draw with the home side Akwa United of Uyo 

While Rivers United are third with 39 points, Akwa United are still struggling in the relegation water in the 19th position with 24 points 

Abia Warriors moved up to the fourth position with 39 points, after a hard earned win against visiting defending champions,Enugu Rangers who dropped to the sixth position with 38 points 

Debutants, Ikorodu City of Lagos continued with their impressive run in the Nigeria's top flight league after managing a slim 2-1 win against the visitors, Plateau United of Jos, to occupy fifth position with 38 points while the Jos based side are currently in the 16th position with 28 points 

Kano Pillars are on the seventh spot with 36 points after settling for one-all draw with home side , Sunshine Stars of Akure who are still struggling to escape from being relegated in the 17th position with 28 points 

El-kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and Bendel Insurance of Benin, are occupying eight and ninth positions with 36 points and 35 points respectively after both sides ended their week 25 encounter in Maiduguri on a goal less draw 

Former champions, Enyimba International of Aba again fell to home side, Katsina United who managed a 2-1 win 

With the result, the Aba Elephants further dropped to the 11th position with 34 points while Katsina United are occupying 13th position with 33 points 

Niger Tornadoes of Minna are in the 12th position with 34 points, after a slim 2-1 win against visiting Heartland of Owerri who are in the 14th position with 32 points 

Bayelsa United of Yenegoa are currently in the 15th position with 30 points after a two-all draw with Nasarawa United of Lafia in a still swimming in relegation water in 18th position with 27 points
